Here's mine. 


A solid block of walnut. They don't make 'em like that anymore.  Come to think of it, they never made 'em like that!  I know I should have gone for the "Spanish highlighted" look but I couldn't do it.  The wood is gorgeous just the way it is, earning it a place right on top of my dresser.  Besides, I have an original-looking Plymouth upstairs.  (See below)

The finish doesn't look 1/10 as bad in real life as it does in this pic but I tried to capture the alligatored finish.  This guy might be old enough to have a shellac, rather than a lacquer finish.  The absence of a removeable rear plug is another clue that this is an old piece.
