The biggest surprise in this clock is the amount of metal in it.  That case front is a solid hunk of brass (unless it's brass plate which I guess is more likely.)  Anyway, it's still pretty impressive to find all that metal in there.  I like everything about this design except the brown back and plastic crystal.  Interestingly, the G.E./Telechron logo is etched into the crystal, molded into the back but not printed anywhere.
