I normally avoid the post-Telechron models, but this morning at the flea market, I saw a 2908A which I had seen there before which looked like it had real potential. The brown bakelite case was in great condition, though dirty and dull, and the glass was also in great shape. There was the usually sooty residue on the dial coming from the indicator hole and spread around the '12', but I figured that it could be safely cleaned off, so I bought the clock for $15. It cleaned up well, and the S rotor runs quietly. I cleaned, polished, and waxed the case. I don't where to put this clock, but it looks really nice now.
