What it was called depended on the whims of the Warren Telechron people.  The case is walnut.  The back is supposed to be bronze but I don't know if they were just being cute and it's just bronze paint.  The outer ring of this model rotated to line up with the various world cities listed around the outer dial.  In the 30's many homes had shortwave radios and this clock was designed to sit atop those sets so folks could know when to tune in those international broadcasts.
